Used accumulators: a hazard for environment and health:
Vehicle batteries are among the most common kinds of hazardous waste that should be properly collected, stored under certain conditions and recycled. Lead-acid accumulators are the waste that contains many hazardous chemical materials. According to the EU regulations, the batteries and accumulators containing lead are to be collected and processed in such a way that all the materials that constitute this waste could be recycled, e.g., lead, plastic, sulphuric acid, stibium and other chemical materials.
